I have written articles for The Observer on naughty nuns in Nepal. I was the finalist for their Young Travel Writer's Award, having been sent by them to cover the Wild West of New Zealand.
I have written articles for The Times on the art of travel writing, on the remote Hebridean island of St Kilda and on Guatemala. I won the Times Young Travel Writer's award, having been sent by them to write about Chicago. The prize was a trip to Beijing, where I wrote about The Phantom of the Beijing Opera.
